Shah Rukh goes digital

Setting new standards to leverage the digital experience for Bollywood fans, YouTube has come up with a first-of-its-kind Bollywood movie channel:
www.youtube.com/raone movie. Apart from being a one-stop platform to engage fans across the globe, this custom-built destination will enable movie buffs to view Shah Rukh Khan's exclusive pictures, thoughts on Ra.One, behind-thescenes shots and also uncut footage of the cast.
In addition to this content, the film's premiere and red carpet events — planned in London — will be telecasted live on
YouTube. Adding to the premium inventory, the new film gadget is also something to watch out for. This gadget is an interesting representation of the movie's hi-end graphics and special effects.
Interestingly, SRK is the first Indian celebrity with a verified page on Google+, which is a rapidly growing social platform today. Shah Rukh will conduct regular hangouts and video chats to engage with his fans. In order to offer a complete package of Bollywood through digital media, a comic on Ra.One and an online G.One social game is also coming up.

"It's an inner world-outer world kind of documentary," said Khan, speaking exclusively to HT. "Hopefully, the parts that people will get to see of me — at work and at other places — will shed some light on how films and film stars work and offer an insight into how I do things." Khan said he has got to know the crew quite well ("They have been very unobtrusive"). For Discovery Travel & Living, this series will be one of the biggest global productions to come out of India and will be shown all over the world. "We haven't yet decided when we're going to telec...
