Shah Rukh Khan becomes INTERPOL Turn Back Crime Ambassador (Interpol)


LYON, France - Internationally renowned Indian actor Shah Rukh Khan has agreed to become an Ambassador for INTERPOL's Turn Back Crime campaign to promote greater awareness of how each of us can have a role in preventing crime.

The multi-award winning actor, the first Indian to be made an Ambassador for the global campaign, is lending his voice to help spread the message that all of society benefits when citizens respect the law and fight crime.

"It's a very special honour to be a part of INTERPOL's Turn Back Crime Campaign as an Ambassador. As Mahatma Gandhi once said, 'I shall not fear anyone on Earth. I shall fear only God. I shall not bear ill will toward anyone. I shall not submit to injustice from anyone. I shall conquer untruth by truth. And in resisting untruth, I shall put up with all suffering, if I have to.'. We all should believe in this maxim and in whatever way possible resolve not to let unjust people who might threaten us with criminal activity make us fear them. Because I believe we can, we should, and we must stand together against the few who commit crimes against any human being, in whatever form or guise these crimes might take," said SRK.

SRK joins actor Jackie Chan as an Ambassador for the campaign, which has already garnered support from public figures including footballer Lionel Messi, Formula 1 racing drivers Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen in addition to law enforcement agencies around the world. 
INTERPOL's Turn Back Crime campaign is aimed at raising public awareness that organized crime is often involved in seemingly unrelated crimes. Drugs trafficking, people smuggling, counterfeiting, cybercrime, kidnapping, crimes against children and corruption in sport are in fact often interconnected, with profits from one crime area used to fund another.
INTERPOL's Turn Back Crime campaign is aimed at helping the public better understand these issues and empowering them not to be duped by criminals when buying products or using the Internet.

"Shah Rukh Khan has dedicated his life to making films which reflect the highest level of professionalism and commitment to bringing joy into the lives of hundreds of millions of filmgoers in India and around the world," said INTERPOL Secretary General Ronald K. Noble.
"We are honoured to have him as an Ambassador for INTERPOL's global Turn Back Crime campaign and we look forward to seeing how he puts his artistic talents behind this campaign," concluded the INTERPOL Chief.
The Turn Back Crime campaign is also reaching out to companies and policy-makers in a bid to form a united front against contemporary crime challenges, and to support the ongoing activities of the global law enforcement community.

सोशल मीडिया पर छाया "हैप्पी न्यू ईयर" का जलवा

मुंबई। किंग खान शाहरूख की फिल्म "हैप्पी न्यू ईयर" का ट्रेलर भी किंग बन गया है। इस ट्रेलर को 24 घंटे में 40 लाख लोगों ने देखा है। एक दिन में इतने सारे व्यू के पीछे शाहरूख का किंग साइज प्रमोशन और रणनीति है। 

14 अगस्त को फिल्म की पूरी स्टार कास्ट ने कार्यक्रम "इंडिया वाले" में "हैप्पी न्यू ईयर" का ट्रेलर लॉन्च किया। फिल्म के ट्रेलर को प्रमोट करने के लिए इसे यू ट्यूब सहित क ई डिजिटल प्लेटफॉर्म पर रिलीज किया गया। आमतौर पर किसी भी फिल्म का ट्रेलर केवल यू ट्यूब पर डाला जाता है। इसके अलावा फिल्म के कलाकार अपने-अपने लेवल पर इसे टीवी, रेडियो पर प्रमोट करते हैं, लेकिन शाहरूख इन सबसे से दो कदम आगे निकले। 

शाहरूख की फिल्म का ट्रेलर लॉन्च होते ही उन लोगों के फेसबुक टाइमलाइन पर पहुंच गया, जिन्होंने इसके लिए आग्रह किया था। इसके अलावा यह पहला ट्रेलर है जिसे वॉट्सएप पर भी रिलीज किया गया। टि्वटर इंडिया के मार्केट डायरेक्टर ऋषि जेटली ने बताया कि टि्वटर के जरिए पोस्टर के बाद लोगों तक उनके नाम से तैयार किए गए ट्रेलर पहुंचाए गए थे। फिल्म की कास्ट ने भी अपने कैरेक्टर के नाम के साथ ट्वीट करना शुरू कर दिया है। शाहरूख जर्मन, अरबी, रूसी, तमिल सबटाइटल्स के साथ फिल्म का ट्रेलर रिलीज कर रहे हैं। 

यू ट्यूब पर इसे 24 घंटे में 20 लाख लोग देख चुके हैं। टि्वटर पर "हैप्पी न्यू ईयर" से जुड़े 5 हैशटैग्स ट्रेंड कर रहे हैं। वहीं फेसबुक पर ट्रेलर लॉन्च की जानी वाली यह पहली फिल्म है। पूरी दुनिया में फेसबुक पर सबसे ज्यादा देखे जाने वाले ट्रेलर का रिकॉर्ड भी "हैप्पी न्यू ईयर" ने अपने नाम कर लिया है। अब तक फेसबुक पर इसे करीब 1 लाख 80 हजार लोग देख चुके हैं। साथ ही इस ट्रेलर को फेसबुक पर सबसे ज्यादा लाइक भी मिले हैं। 

इसके अलावा ट्रेलर लॉन्च से पहले फिल्ममेकर्स ने मिसकॉल कर ट्रेलर प्राप्त करने की भी स्कीम रखी थी। मिसकॉल करने वालों के पास इसका लिंक एसएमएस के जरिए पहुंच गया। इसके जरिए 3 लाख लोगों के पास इसका ट्रेलर पहुंचा। वहीं "हैप्पी न्यू ईयर" को टाटा स्काई के 100 नंबर चैनल पर भी लॉन्च किया गया है। इससे टीवी ऑन होते है, सबसे पहले लोगों की नजर इसी पर पड़ती है। इसके जरिए यह ट्रेलर करीब 1 करोड़ 3 लाख लोगों तक पहुंच गया है। साथ ही 25000 लोगों के पास "हैप्पी न्यू ईयर" का ट्रेलर मेल के जरिए पहुंचा। 

फिल्म के रिलीज होने में अभी काफी वक्त है, लेकिन शाहरूख ने इसके प्रमोशन के लिए पूरी जान लगा दी है। जिसका असर भी साफ तौर पर दिखाई दे रहा है। फिल्म 24 अक्टूबर को रिलीज होगी। -

The Trailer was also launched on the conventional platform of Youtube on all channels of the partners (Music Distributors T-Series and Film Distributors Yash Raj Films) on the film along with Red Chillies' official channel. The total views of the trailer from all platforms cross a record breaking number of 4 million in 24 hours. HNY is slated to release this Diwali.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Happy New Year to compete with Rekha’s Super Nani!

Farah Khan's Happy New Year was going to have a really Happy Diwali, as it was slated to be the solo release on Diwali this year. But it looks like the industry has some brave filmmakers who are ready to challenge Shah Rukh Khan in a festive season. After Randeep Hooda's Rang Rasiya touted to hit screens this Diwali, Rekha's Super Nani joins the party to become the third release during the festival of lights.

Super Nani starring Rekha and Sharman Joshi is slated to hit the big screen on October 24. The film's producer Ashok Thakeria said," Yes, we are planning to release our film on Diwali. So what better time than Diwali! Super Nani is not just celebration of women power but that off the family too."

The film also marks the comeback of timeless beauty Rekha as she plays grandmother to Sharman Joshi. By clashing with SRK's Happy New Year, the makers of Super Nani have taken a bold move. We hope the move doesn't backfire and hurt the makers this Diwali.

SRK’s Happy New Year: The Inside Story

If you thought that director Farah Khan'sHappy New Year will be just another big-budget time pass movie-watching experience, you've got it dead wrong. Here is the real story. 

For one, Farah in her efforts to create the perfect masala mix has borrowed liberally from each and every director right from Sanjay Bhansali to Prabhu Dheva. But her chief inspiration is Steven Soderbergh's Ocean's Trilogy, although Farah has insisted that "she has lifted but not in the Hitch-Partner sort of way." The director's other inspiration is the body of her previous work, Tees Maar Khan included. 

At the end of the trailer, SRK's character Charlie says, "Picture abhi baaki hai mere dost." That is an interesting hint, the fact being that Deepika Padukone who plays a dancer named Mohini (what an imaginative name) will also make a ghost appearance like she did inOm Shanti Om. The story of a heist, her character of a ghost will do all the stealing since the villain who owns the casino cannot see her: or, it. 

Farah is, in fact, the supervisor of the film. Three other participants whose names have been wrapped in secrecy have played majorly significant roles. In spite of being made at a nominal budget of 400 crore, she has hired Rohit Shetty as the Action Director. 

Shetty who was given complete freedom has picturised an action sequence on the peak of Mount Everest between the macho man played by Sonu Sood (Jag in the film) and an extra named Jaidev Kadam who was paid five crore for agreeing to jump off the peak. The scene was canned, and Kadam's wife Anita paid five crore for her late husband's effort. 

Farah's brother Sajid Khan is the Director (Special Effects). He has made two major contributions, the first among them focusing on Abhishek Bachchan (Nandu) who does a Helen in a cover version of 'Piya Tu Ab Toh Aa Jaa.' Sonakshi Sinha who does a cameo calls out 'Monica.' 

The second has Charlie making love to Barley (a character who looks like him played by him). Charlie is a man - but of course - but Barley, a girl. This is the first time SRK has played a female character in a film. 

Salman Khan will be seen in an item number. Barley is his dancing partner. Charlie who watches them perform falls in love with Barley then and there. 

HNY doesn't have an entirely happy ending. The heist is successful. But Charlie cannot marry Mohini because he already has two wives: Barley whom he marries after their passionate under-cover romance and Sohini, the ghost who looks exactly like Mohini. 

Farah Khan has asserted herself by ensuring that Vivaan Shah (Rohan) who plays a comp hack is actually seen in the film. 

After Sajid Khan and Rohit Shetty, SRK has been the third major decision maker. Apart from Vivaan, he has divided the screen time among the remaining actors.

Shah Rukh Khan's 'Happy New Year' trailer is of 3:16 minutes, will be available on WhatsApp

Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up for the trailer release of his much awaited film 'Happy New Year'. The trailer that is about to release this Thursday on Independence Day eve is one of the longest in Bollywood. The trailer is 3 minutes 16 seconds long and it is reported to bring out the huge canvas on which the film is made.

Yet another magnum opus from Farah Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, post 'Om Shanti Om', we simply cannot wait to catch the trailer first. And not just that, SRK has gone one step ahead in terms of marketing and made 'Happy New Year' the first film to release its trailer on WhatsApp as well. 

Plus, the grand trailer launch will have the entire star cast of the film including SRK, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah performing to their title track. 'Indiawaale', the track seems to bring out the flavour of the film and is definitely going to be a winner!

Shahrukh Khan Launches 21 Topon Ki Salaami Trailer

Shahrukh Khan was snapped at the 21 Topon Ki Salaami launch. The political comedy drama is set to go on the floor in the mid-august and stars Anupam Kher in the main role. Anupam is playing the role of a BMC worker whose dying wish is to have a martyr's last honour. So his 2 sons set for a mission to fulfill their father's last wish. A political comedy, the movie is being produced by Nautanki Films Pvt. Ltd. (of television show, Madhubala fame), which marks the production house's foray into film-making. SRK also spoke about his relationship with his son. SRK said that he tries a lot to make his kids share things with him, but also said that after a certain age the gap builds which is difficult to fill. "I want a friendly relationship with my kids and try my best to share such a relation with them. I really inspired from Anupam Kher with whom I played as his son in DDLJ. I saw Anupam ji and the kind of friendly relationship he shares with his son and that inspires me." Shahrukh continued, "Whatever they do in their lives, when they come back they, I don't them to come with a fear on what my dad will say or ask me." Shahrukh on asked if he would like to give 21 topon ki salaami to real life stars sad, "There are many talented superstars in bollywood who deserve 21 Topon Ki Salaami like Irrfan Khan. We have grown up seeing many stars like Anupam Kher who should get 21 Topon Ki Salaami." On asked on why SRK doesn't opt for such roles played by Irrfan, the entertainer replied, "If I do such kind of movies then there will be monotony. We do our kind of movies and they do theirs. There is a variety of movies and if all do one type of genre then were will entertainment." The film has been written by Rahil Qazi, who was the screenplay writer of Do Dooni Chaar. 21 Topon Ki Salaami which is also called Ekkees Topon Ki Salaami is shot in Mumbai and Bhopal, the film will be helmed by Ravindra Gautam. Ekkees Topon Ki Salaami also features Divyendu Sharma (of Pyaar Ka Punchnama & Chashme Baddoor fame), Manu Rishi (Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!) Aditi sharma (Mausam & Ladies vs Ricky Bahl) and Rajesh Sharma (Special 26) & Neha Dhupia in a special cameo for their first film. The movie has been directed by Ravindra Gautam of Madhubala fame. SRK was last seen at the unveiling of Mad About Dance's app where he spoke about his upcoming movie, Happy New Year.

King Khan brings big Bollywood branding back to Dubai property

 Dubai developers eyeing to sell their projects to global investors are back in the branding business.


Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is the hot favourite and is once again involved in a real estate project in the UAE. This time it's in Dubai.

The actor will be in Dubai on Wednesday to launch the Dh2.3-billion project in Dubai Investment Park (DIP), Parvez Khan, Chairman, Pacific Ventures, told Emirates 24|7.

The actor, who owns a villa on Palm Jumeirah, has been involved in the UAE realty scene since 2008 when he launched the "Shah Rukh Khan (SRK) Boulevard" in Ras Al Khaimah.

Last year, Pacific Ventures got Sohail Khan, the brother of Salman Khan, to market their Burj Pacific tower in Downtown Dubai.

In June, Danube Properties, a subsidiary of Danube Group, named Sunil Gavaskar, Indian cricket legend, as their brand ambassador for Dreamz by Danube project in Al Furjan.

In the past, Deepika Padukone and Omar Sharif have endorsed projects in Dubai and Ajman, respectively. Sporting legends Boris Becker, Niki Lauda and Michael Schumacher too have had towers named after them in Dubai.

Parvez Khan, however, says SRK is not merely the brand ambassador, but is involved in the designing aspect of the project.

"He has given inputs in designing of the project… he is the one who told us to launch two-bed 'affordable luxury' townhouses in our project. He is also involved in the designing the landscaping for the project."

Well, these brand ambassadors now do invest in these projects.

Gavaskar has bought a townhouse in the Danube project, while Sohail Khan has bought an apartment in the tower.

Parvez Khan says Shah Rukh does intend to buy a townhouse in Royal Estates and keep it as an investment for future.

The development consists of 400 townhouses, one commercial tower and between 800 and 900 residential apartments.

The launch price for units will start from Dh840 per square feet.

Phase one of the project, which comprises 200 townhouses and a residential tower of nearly 200 units, will be delivered during the first quarter of 2016.
