'My perception about love hasn’t changed'

Shah Rukh Khan says his perception about love has not
changed over the years. "A relationship is between two
people and it is a very personal experience. When you
are in love, you have to be yourself. My perception of love
has not changed over the years," said Shah Rukh.
"I feel we lose out on love when we start looking at bigger things. I
think in love,
simple things matter, like listening. I think girls know better how to
love than men,"
he said.
He claimed he is also in love with the whole idea of on-screen
romance. "I fall in
love with the story idea and the belief of love in it. I like the
whole idea of the love
story. I believe in every scene that I do. I think I can understand
and emote love,"
he said.
According to him, there is no other place he could think of being, other than
Bollywood. "I am happy to be here. I don't think there is any other
place other the
film industry where I would rather be. I would love to live and die

SRK to be a trademark!

The actor has sent an application to the Trade Mark Registry that his often-used initials not be used without his permission

Shah Rukh Khan is a brand by himself. And very soon his often-used initials - SRK may become a very valuable property. TOI found out that the actor has recently applied for a trademark on his name SRK at the Delhi office of the Trade Mark Registry. However, he has not received a final confirmation on it yet. According to the rules, once his trademark SRK is published in the Indian Trademark Journal, anybody who has an objection can file a notice within three months.

Interestingly, Sachin Tendulkar had applied for the same, to trademark his name SRT, earlier this year. In fact, we had told you how when Vidhu Vinod Chopra needed to use the cricketer's name in his film Ferrarri Ki Sawaari, he had to seek Sachin's permission.

In the West, getting a trademark on one's name isn't uncommon. In fact, Roger Federer, Michael Jordon and Jennifer Lopez are amon…

They want this to be their special gift to their mentor. The unit of the film will soon head to Switzerland to shoot the only remaining song - a romantic number with Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif - with Chopra behind the camera. Says a source from the film's set, "Adi (Aditya Chopra), who is an assistant director on the film, along with the other ADs, came up with the idea of making the last shot magnificent. To make it stand out, they've decided to use multiple cameras and shoot from various angles, giving it a multi-dimensional feel. Yashji is a living legend, and obviously, his last shot has to be a huge moment."Katrina, who is in Chicago, USA, isn't aware of the development yet, but she says whatever the plans are, she is lucky and privileged to be part o…

The King of Bollywood himself Shahrukh Khan received a royal welcome to Manchester last night. Arif Asif and Neetal Parekh report. The city left an impression on the superstar who said he was overwhelmed by the response. The event was featured live via our Twitter Feed and here on the Asian Image website with exclusive updates. Amidst what were at times chaotic scenes a host of celebrities attended the event held at the Davenport Green Hall which is based on the outskirts of the city.  And whilst fans had to wait untill after 10pm for him to make an appearance, he certainly didn't disappoint when he took to the stage.
People were standing on chairs, with others on their friend's shoulders just to get a glimpse of the star. It simply was too much to handle for some fans who found being in the presence of a Bollywood superstar overwhelming. Several fans could not hold back their tears and simply broke down at the sight of him! The even…

SRK misses late father on his 31st death anniversary

While the entire country is in a celebratory mood, courtesy- the birthday celebrations of the Elephant God- Ganesha, actor Shah Rukh Khan is feeling a little low on this day. And, the reason for the same is the fact that September 19 marks the death anniversary of his late father, Taj Mohammed Khan, who passed away thirty one years back.

The actor, who's seemingly missing his father on this day, took to Twitter to share his feelings. He wrote, "Where shall I find you now- in which garden can we sit ? Where might you and I chat for a bit? My fathers 'barsi' today.31 yrs without him (sic)."

But at the same time, King Khan left some food for thought for all his fans, which read as, "Life is beautiful for it never takes away the people it pretends it does. It's just a question of us calling its bluff (sic)."

The actor called it a day after tweeting one of his most favourite pictures- a black and white picture of his father.

Anushka Sharma is another female actor on the block who would be swindling around Shahrukh Khan in the flick, which releases on November 13. No one can beat SRK in romance, says Karan

Mumbai: Karan Johar, who created magic by teaming up with friend and superstar Shah Rukh Khan in hits like `Kuch Kuch Hota Hai` and `Kal Ho Na Ho`, feels that SRK is the ultimate king of romance and no one can beat him in that space.

"I think no one can beat Shah Rukh in romance, he owns that space. If and when I am challenged to write a love story which I feel I can justify, I will definitely make it. Right now, I don`t know if there is enough of me to make another love story," Karan told PTI in an interview.

With `Kuch Kuch Hota Hai` (1998) Karan attempted a love story between three college students (Shah Rukh, Kajol and Rani Mukherjee). In 2003 super hit film `Kal Ho Na Ho`, Karan again formed a love triangle between terminally ill Shah Rukh, an uptight student Priety Zinta and her friend Saif Ali Khan. While with `Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna` he explored the side of adultery and extramarital affair.

Karan hopes to make an unusual love story yet again and hopefully with Shah Rukh.

Shah Rukh buys out all books on cinema

Shah Rukh Khan is a man on a mission. The actor has been on a book-buying spree across the length and breadth of the city, scouring bookstores in his pursuit of the titles of his choice.

Few people are aware that the actor is a voracious reader and consumes books on a daily basis.
Khan is one of the few genuine B-Town bookworms, who buy books to read rather than for its collector value. He has a massive collection of books in his personal library, which he is now in the process of refurbishing along with the one in his office.

One guesses the B-Town badshah felt he needed 'thoda aur' and that's what sparked off his book-buying marathon.Sources say that SRK walked into a store in Khar the other day with three people as part of his entourage and walked out with every single book on Hollywood and Bollywood cinema, and on movie stars that it had in stock. On one of those visits, he reportedly spent a hefty amount on his purchases.

At this point, the ma…

I think love can happen at any age: Shah Rukh Khan

Megastar Shah Rukh Khan Tuesday launched the music and third poster of choreographer-director Farah Khan's debut film as an actor "Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi" here and praised her as one of the finest directors.

Shah Rukh who had come to unveil the third poster of "Shirin Farhad..." told reporters that no one could recreate the magic of his most iconic romantic film of all time, "DDLJ".

"I have seen spoofs of all movies created by others but I never thought one would ever think of making a spoof on 'DDLJ'," Shah Rukh said

SRK takes Yash Raj to Ladakh

TOI told you in May that Yash Chopra was toying with the idea of revisiting one of his favourite destinations, the Kashmir valley, as a backdrop for his directorial next starring Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif.
The last time the snow-dusted valley featured in Chopra's films was in the 1976 blockbuster Kabhie Kabhie, after which the filmmaker, known for his choice of the most beautiful locales, had shifted his attention to the Swiss Alps for the longest time. So much so, the production house even conducted a recce of Kashmir, raising anticipation levels there.

However, TOI now has it that the climax of Yash Chopra's yet-untitled film will be shot in Ladakh and not Kashmir, only because Shah Rukh suggested the venue.

A source close to the film had said, "Yashji loves the snow in Kashmir and has shot two of his most romantic films, Daag and Kabhi Kabhie, there. They need a snow-capped landscape for the climax. Hence, initially, he contemplated shooting in Kashmir."

Something About SRK-Yash Chopra’s Next

Several looks of the leading protagonist of Yash Chopra's next yet untitled have been revealed and these stills have only raised curiosity levels in the trade as well as among the aam janta. We're told the wait is over and the first teaser of this film will be launched in August. So come August 15, the makers of the film will release a 90-second teaser of the film along with the film Ek Tha Tiger. There's more. Almost all cinemas across the country as well as hoardings will sport three different posters of the film. We're told that Aditya Chopra is being guarded about revealing too much about the film, visually, and will go ballistic when the film is about to release. A different strategy, indeed!

Shah Rukh Khan to make 8-pack abs for Farah Khan’s ‘Happy New Year’

New Delhi: The last time we saw Shah Rukh Khan sporting those delicious six pack abs in 'Om Shanti Om', the entire nation went about drooling on King Khan's hotness quotient. However, the washboard tummy did not last for a long time.
But SRK is yet again gearing up for something bigger and better this time with Farah Khan's film 'Happy New Year'. It has been learnt through a source close to Farah's film unit that the lady has expressed her desire for SRK to work hard on his body to get an eight pack abs. Since the audience expects something better from them as a team, she wants it to be like that.

Sources reveal that Shah Rukh, on his part, has promised to do as directed by Farah and will work on his body to get in the desired form before the film goes on floors in September.

'Happy New Year' is being co-produced by SRK along with old buddy Farah. "We make a good team. Our last fight has made our bond grow stronger", Farah added.

Anu Malik`s wish for SRK

New Delhi: Music composer Anu Malik has wished superstar Shah Rukh Khan on completing 20 years in the industry.
"I want to wish Shah Rukh, he has done tremendous job in 20 years. I have been a part of most of his films, right from `Baazigar` to `Main Hoon Na.` Both of us have seen ups and downs. I am appreciating him, hope he also appreciates me," the 51-year-old said here Friday at Esha Deol`s wedding.

Besides 'Baazigar' and 'Main Hoon Na', the music of Shah Rukh`s 'Asoka', 'Josh', 'Baadshah' have been composed by Malik.

Even Big B envies SRK's energy and speed

It was on this day exactly twenty years ago that he entered the cinema industry. However, the path hasn't been a rosy one for the man who's now referred to as the Badhshah of Bollywood.

Nine years ago Shah Rukh Khan had said in an interview "June 26 marks exactly 11 years since I faced the cameras for my first shot for Dil Aashna Hai. I knew it would be a tough field, a very demanding profession."
Although the star admitted on Twitter that luck has played a major role in making him a superstar, the actor has never once slowed down or shown a sign of complacence.

The day he has free time, he starts off with connecting to his fans on Twitter. This is one ritual his fans look forward to. Once online, he tweets, "off to shooting now. ok will do 10 questions...nothing better than to start the day by being questioned...yes we all have our quirks!!"

The best part about the actor is that he doesn't shy away from answering any kind of questions and we all know that …
