Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan's Happy New Year celebrations from September 1

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Abhishek Bachchan are all set to begin shooting for choreographer turned director Farah Khan's ambitious project Happy New Year from September 1.

Besides Shah Rukh Khan and Abhishek Bachchan, the film also stars Sonu Sood and Boman Irani.

Malayalam superstar Prithviraj, who was last seen in Aurangzeb, is also part of the ensemble cast.

After much anticipation and speculation it was revealed that Deepika Padukone will play the female lead in the film.

This is the second time Shah Rukh Khan and Abhishek Bachchan will share screen space after Karan Johar's Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna.

Farah Khan tweeted Abhishek Bachchan: "@juniorbachchan: @TheFarahKhan YAAAAAYYYY!!!"R u Ready 4 the ride juniour?!

To which the actor replied: @TheFarahKhan are YOU ready for me Farahbia?

The film, which got delayed due to Shah Rukh Khan's shoulder injury, while shooting for Rohit Shetty's Chennai Express, will now commence shooting in September.

Actor Sonu Sood, who was last seen in Shootout At Wadala, is super excited for the film.

He tweeted: @TheFarahKhan coming bare feet all the way from bangkok just to hear those magic words from u "A C T I O N "

Farah replied: @SonuSood: @TheFarahKhan Hav nevr waited 4 a Sunday sooo much. Buttrflies doing their bit. SUPER EXCITED." Sonu u only shooting frm Monday.

Shah Rukh Khan also welcomed co-star Sonu Sood on Twitter: @SonuSood welcome aboard...we will all try and make this a happy experience for u.

The movie revolves around a bunch of male friends and how situation forces them to participate in a dance competition. Deepika Padukone will play the role of a bar dancer, who will help these friends win the dance trophy.
