I act in my bathroom too: SRK

Shah Rukh Khan, who is known as the Badshah of Bollywood, is back hosting an entertaining show on television yet again.

The actor is all set to host celebrity reality show 'Zor Ka Jhatka', an adaptation of the American reality show 'Wipeout'. Taking centre-stage at the announcement of his fourth reality show, SRK said, "I am bedroom ka Badshah. Jo main de sakta hoon koi aur nahi de sakta. People may say I'm being vulgar, but the bedroom is the place where families watch TV together. Well I'm going to entertain you in your bedrooms like no one can," he quipped.

About his return to television, he said, "I act in my bathroom, too. I started with television and theatre. I would like to do theater too. I am an actor and my job is to entertain," said Shah Rukh.

Shah Rukh Khan
enjoyed his 'Zor Ka Jhatka' steps on the stage. When asked about the jhatka's he has got in his personal and professional life, he said, "I got a zor ka jhatka in my personal life when I became a father. It was a pleasant experience; Professional jhataka I got when I jumped with Sushmita Sen while shooting for her film. It was embarassing and painful too."

It can be recalled that earlier when he hosted KBC 3 and 'Kya Aap Panchvi Pass...' he was compared to Amitabh Bachchan. It's evitable that this time around he will be compared to colleagues like Salman Khan and Amitabh Bachchan again.

But Shah Rukh Khan sees it as healthy competition. "All the stars bring good entertainment and I'm not competing with them. If you think I am, then I must say it's healthy competition. And that's good. I think all of us do a good job. Work should speak the loudest at my age, I am a little beyond all this," he signed off.

Being SRK: The ultimate reality TV show

It's a job most Indians would die for — shadowing Shah Rukh Khan wherever he goes. For the last two months, that's exactly what a TV crew has been doing, following the country's biggest star from South Africa to America to London to Mumbai — all for the making of a unique six-part series on the actor, to be telecast on lifestyle channel Discovery Travel & Living. "It's an inner world-outer world kind of documentary," said Khan, speaking exclusively to HT. "Hopefully, the parts that people will get to see of me — at work and at other places — will shed some light on how films and film stars work and offer an insight into how I do things." Khan said he has got to know the crew quite well ("They have been very unobtrusive"). For Discovery Travel & Living, this series will be one of the biggest global productions to come out of India and will be shown all over the world. "We haven't yet decided when we're going to telec
