Shah Rukh Khan MNIK in Germany, Turkey, Poland from April!!

Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol starrer flick 'My Name Is Khan', which has already become a huge success in India, UK and US at the box office, will be released in another twenty five countries, including Germany and Turkey, in their own languages after getting it dubbed by April this year.

According to Fox star, the distributors of the mega- budget flick, they have plans for all the countries with regard to marketing of the flick keeping in mind the specifics of those countries. In fact, they added the name of Germany to this list after witnessing the huge response that Shah Rukh Kahn's flick got at the film festival recently. As of now they have plans to release the film in dubbed German version in Germany, while it will be in the language of Turkey in that Turk land.

Even Poland, which is located near Russia and is fully familiar with bollywood flicks, will get the release with Polish subtitles. However, Arab countries have been kept out of this dubbing thing as they are familiar with Hindi movies and love them in their original version.

Shah Rukh Khan's flick will also see the light of the day in other non-traditional countries of the world where Indians do not form the majority or sizable portion of the population. The ground has already been made for the release of the film by the huge marketing network of Fox Star present in these non-traditional areas of the world.

There is also a paradigm shift in distribution strategy of bollywood flicks with this Karan Johar directed Shah Rukh Khan's 'My Name Is Khan'. It is for the first time that a bollywood flick will not be wholly dependant on the collection from Indian Diaspora. This strategy of Fox Star has already created new opportunities for the Indian films abroad with a possibility of rich revenue collection.

Analysts in Bollywood feel that Shah Rukh Khan's 'My Name Is Khan' has truly globalized the bollywood films. Its distribution by an international giant, like Fox Star, has put the bollywood flicks firmly on the entertainment map of the world. The day is not far behind when bollywood flicks would compete with Hollywood films.

Khan said he has got to know the crew quite well ("They have been very unobtrusive"). For Discovery Travel & Living, this series will be one of the biggest global productions to come out of India and will be shown all over the world. "We haven't yet decided when we're going to telec...
