Mumbai, April 30, 2009: Will Shah Rukh Khan dump Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)? The question is being asked after an emotionally dejected Shah Rukh Khan returned from South Africa and said that he wouldn't return till his team starts winning the match.
His team has been among the worst performers in the ongoing Indian Premier League so far. It has won only one match and has lost four matches one after the other.
The team that was being seen as among the most balanced teams till a few weeks ago is now seen as the weakest among the IPL teams with no batsman or bowler producing match winning performances.
Brendon McCullum, the wily batsman who was made the captain of the side this year after Sourav Ganhuly was removed has also failed to come up with a scintillating performance like last year. He has either gone for a duck or has scored one or two runs in every match.
McCullum believes that a defeat like the one that Kolkata Knight Riders suffered at the hands of Rajasthan Royals in the DLF Indian Premier League can be quite gutting and can have an impact on the confidence of the team. But he also realises that good teams have to regroup quickly.
There are reports now that Shah Rukh Khan who bought the team for Rs 300 crores is in advance stage of talks with big companies like Nokia, Sahara and the Anil Ambani group to sell his stakes in the company.
Reports from Shah Rukh Khan's company Red Chillies Entertainment say that King Khan is looking to exit. But he also wants to ensure that he doubles the money that he had invested. He may be able to sell his stakes for as much as Rs 600 crore easily sources say.
A dejected SRK had earlier said 'If my team continues to lose like this, I am not going back to South Africa. I will go only when they play well and win.' 'But once they come back, I'll call them over and ask what went wrong with them,' he added.
But it seems his team is running out of time now with so much losses.

ReplyDeleteI can understand how are you managing all this IPL thing. But I feel you should not give up.
Some mistakes your mgmt taken are
1. Having Saurav Ganguli in your team
2. When you had him , you should have made him captain (no doubt about that) This guy is very smart. He purposely play bad to show he is great when he is not captain. So many times he has done this.
3. When you chose not have saurav as captin then u made another mistake by getting a wrong person as captain.
4. Relying on the promises these all players n coach must have given you.. Dont trust them as its your business (for you its not just a game)
Now you can still do few thing...
1. Try removing saurav and other non performing players.
2. Removing the present captain (even coach)
3. Make a good balance of senior and junior players in the team.
4. Do some homework on your own before taking any decision in this game.
5. If you cant remove saurav then dont even think of making somebody other as captain.

ReplyDeleteHi Shahrukh i like to say that your team is imbalance your opening pair is also not perfect your team captain is not right. your team captain should be Sourav Ganguly because he is a perfect captain and have wining motive.BB McCullum have the tension of captaincy that is why he is not paying properly. team opening pair should be CH Gayle and BJ Hodge and one down should be BB McCullum if opening pair does not work than Sourav Ganguly should open one down because the Sourav Ganguly is man that play a game in situation. McCullum is not giving confidence to player. if u have to make your team to win that use this formula. your batting order like this:-
