Mushtaq Shiekh’s association with words began with a career in film journalism. His first brush with the film industry was as a cub reporter with G magazine at just sixteen years of age. Mushtaq Shiekh then graduated to Star & Style to become the youngest editor of an Indian film magazine.

From print journalism to working as a creative director in electronic online and television media, his first foray in screenplay writing was for television. Mushtaq Shiekh’s first screenplay for films was for Supari, by which time his internalization of the film world had led him to his first non-fiction work done for Shah Rukh Khan - The Making of Asoka. Shiekh’s third book was on close friend and colleague Shah Rukh Khan -- Still Reading Khan which was published in 2006 which topped the bestseller lists in the country and found an avid audience overseas too. In 2007, Mushtaq Shiekh’s second venture as screenplay writer Om Shanti Om was released to popular acclaim.

Khan said he has got to know the crew quite well ("They have been very unobtrusive"). For Discovery Travel & Living, this series will be one of the biggest global productions to come out of India and will be shown all over the world. "We haven't yet decided when we're going to telec...
