Farhan to replace SRK with Aamir

Aamir Khan and Farhan Akhtar had a fall-out over Aamirs unreasonable demands for Reema Kagtis film. Now Shah Rukh Khan may replacehim

Shah Rukh Khan is slated to replace Aamir Khan in Reema Kagtis next. Reportedly, Aamir Khan had a fall-out with his friends Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani over terms for their next film. Aamir, apparently, demanded a whopping fee and a sizeable percentage in the profits.

Our source said, Ritesh had gone to meet Aamir on the sets of 3 Idiots to finalise the deal, however, they had a major disagreement over certain terms and conditions laid by Aamir. A disgruntled Ritesh left the sets in a huff.

The source added, It was sad as Farhan, Ritesh and Aamir were like family. They made a cult film like Dil Chahta Hai. Although Aamir has not worked with them again, they have always been in touch. Whether the dispute over this film will also affect their personal relationship, is yet to be seen.
Ritesh Sidhwani confirmed the story and said, Yes it is true that we were working on the film with Aamir and were supposed to start it but now it is not happening.
On the demands made by Aamir, Sidhwani said, I dont want to get into all this but yes he had demands which were not acceptable to me. We are now speaking to another actor.

When we asked him if money was the issue, he said, Thats how he works. All I can say is that there were certain reasons for us not working together. We will now announce the film at the right time.

However, Sidhwani side-tracked the vital question of Shah Rukh Khan filling Aamirs shoes. He said, We are talking to an actor all right but if it is our dear friend Shah Rukh or someone else, we will say so at an appropriate time.

While Aamir Khan did not comment on the fall-out issue, he said, I didnt like the script and so I am not doing the film.

Khan said he has got to know the crew quite well ("They have been very unobtrusive"). For Discovery Travel & Living, this series will be one of the biggest global productions to come out of India and will be shown all over the world. "We haven't yet decided when we're going to telec...
