Dad's day out for Shah Rukh Khan

Shah Rukh Khan and his son Aryan apparently had a Titanic style spitting championship to celebrate Father's Day.

According to sources, even though Gauri Khan has trepid reservations about it, the father-son duo had made up their mind to play the spitting game two days before Father's Day.

"Shah Rukh loves to play all sorts of games with his children. But this idea of a spitting championship apparently came from his son. The two have recently seen Titanic and they just can't get over the spitting game that Leonardo and Kate Winslet were seen playing in the film. The father-son duo had a hell of a time spitting across their balcony," says a source close to the star.

Even Shah Rukh was seen talking about it on his Twitter account. "(I am) with my son. (I) had seen (the) spitting contest in Titanic. (I am) trying to recreate this awful dirty and childish prank with him. Wot the hell, its fathers day," he wrote on Twitter.

Before Shah Rukh signed off for the day he wrote on his twitter that he is practicing for the 'match'. "Bye now... (I) have to muster up some pressure in the mouth for the spitting championships," he further wrote.

SRK also took his children at a water club on the fringes of the city to celebrate Father's Day. The area where SRK and his kids played along with Gauri was cordoned off for security reasons.

"On fathers day took the kids to a waterpark. (I) don't flinch jumping 30/40 ft for a stunt... But had to hold onto them to go down a waterslide," said the star.

This was Shah Rukh's first day off from shooting after a long time since the star got into full-time shooting for his forthcoming super-hero film.

"Shah Rukh had been yearning to take a break for a long time. Father's Day was just the right excuse to have a party with the kids. As of now, he is back on the sets but refreshed after a good day out with his kids," the source added.

Being SRK: The ultimate reality TV show

It's a job most Indians would die for — shadowing Shah Rukh Khan wherever he goes. For the last two months, that's exactly what a TV crew has been doing, following the country's biggest star from South Africa to America to London to Mumbai — all for the making of a unique six-part series on the actor, to be telecast on lifestyle channel Discovery Travel & Living. "It's an inner world-outer world kind of documentary," said Khan, speaking exclusively to HT. "Hopefully, the parts that people will get to see of me — at work and at other places — will shed some light on how films and film stars work and offer an insight into how I do things." Khan said he has got to know the crew quite well ("They have been very unobtrusive"). For Discovery Travel & Living, this series will be one of the biggest global productions to come out of India and will be shown all over the world. "We haven't yet decided when we're going to telec...
