SRK's spat with a photographer

While the nation regaled in the revelry when the World Cup came into our kitty, far away in a Mumbai suburb, the fracas between the Bollywood badshah and the media went unnoticed.

Apparently Shah Rukh Khan, who had hurt his foot during a shoot and couldn't go to Wankhede stadium to witness the match, came out of his bungalow Mannat along with his wife and other friends from the industry to celebrate and enjoy the moment. While Gauri, Hrithik, Karisma and many other stars kept sitting in their respective cars, SRK came out on the streets to be with his fans and media. But the crowd was unmanageable and SRK's security began pushing and shoving people away for the safety of the star.

SRK too lost his cool and had a fight with a photographer and there was total chaos on the streets outside Mannat. And when the media and the unruly mob began chasing SRK things went totally out of control and SRK had to rush into Don producer Ritesh Sidhwani's house which is at a short distance from Mannat. And as per sources, there was no party planned at Ritesh's house, but since SRK had no choice but to go to his house to escape the crowd an impromptu party was thrown and SRK's friends and colleagues began joining him slowly..after almost three to four hours. But how can SRK exist without the media. He must have realised his folly and called the media inside Ritesh's house, and was heard telling the photographer he had an argument with, "Tujhe photo chaihiye na, chal aa, le meri photo, jitni lena hai le.." (You want my pictures na, come in and take as many you want)

It's a job most Indians would die for — shadowing Shah Rukh Khan wherever he goes. For the last two months, that's exactly what a TV crew has been doing, following the country's biggest star from South Africa to America to London to Mumbai — all for the making of a unique six-part series on the actor, to be telecast on lifestyle channel Discovery Travel & Living. "It's an inner world-outer world kind of documentary," said Khan, speaking exclusively to HT. "Hopefully, the parts that people will get to see of me — at work and at other places — will shed some light on how films and film stars work and offer an insight into how I do things." Khan said he has got to know the crew quite well ("They have been very unobtrusive"). For Discovery Travel & Living, this series will be one of the biggest global productions to come out of India and will be shown all over the world. "We haven't yet decided when we're going to telec
