Shahrukh wins Chennai’s hearts

IPL Season 4 opened with much fanfare in Chennai yesterday (April 8) evening at the MA Chidambaram stadium. The opening ceremony was graced by several screen celebrities, among which Bollywood King Khan Shahrukh and sizzling beauty Shriya Saran grabbed maximum attention.

While SRK grooved along Bollywood numbers from movies like 'Chak De' and 'Billu Barber' he stole Chennaites' hearts by dancing to the tunes of popular Tamil tracks "Appadi Podu" and "Nakka Mukka". Hottie Shriya on the other hand gave the star company, matching to his lively spirit.

The actress said to be very thrilled on sharing the stage with the B-town's Badshah and said that it was like a dream come true. Shriya, who was shooting in Sri Lanka for Deepa Mehta's film 'Winds of Change', had specially flown in Chennai for the event.

The inaugural ceremony was followed by match between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders. SRK was, hence, been here to boost his KKR team.

Others who were part of the opening function include Sunidhi Chauhan, UK-based artiste Raghav, Kunal Ganjawalla and percussionist Taufiq Qureshi.
