Shahrukh Khan on Ra.One & its promotion strategy

Teaser of Bollywood Badshah Sharukh Khan's most anticipated 'Ra.One' is out and it looks terrific.

People are asking why so early as 'Ra.One' – the one of its kind superhero adventure is a Diwali bonanaza and the teasers are already out…..

Not to worry as the master of B-town promotions Shahrukh Khan explains his strategy for his most ambitious film 'Ra.One' and feels that it is important for such genre of films to start an early promotion, he explains, "I think it is important for this genre. When we go to see a Spiderman film, we know who he is, and what his powers are. Likewise with Superman and Batman. I want G.One (the protagonist) to become someone you start recognizing before you come to see the film. We want to start telling the audiences that he flies, is made up of electricity and wears a blue suit. I would like kids to ask, 'How high can he fly, and how hard can he hit?' By the time the film comes, those questions should've been answered."

That's very interesting so be prepared as SRK has surprise in store regarding his 'Ra.One' and we also come to know that King Khan's apple of the eye Aryan has had his say in his papa's major VFX adventure hmmm that's why the teaser has an international cut and edge.

Shares SRK, "He has got a lot of issues because the VFX is still to be done. When he sees it, he points out unfinished things. I have shown it to his friends. They kind of like it. The only thing is, it is not so advanced as Batman because of the paucity of the funds. It is much less than that. But the VFX is as clean as you see in a west film. And it's entirely done in India. When people see the film I want them to ask, 'Arre kahan kiya yeh.' And someone will say, 'Yahaan Andheri mein.'

When quipped about the title as Shahrukh Khan is called as G.One in the film and Ra.One is actually the name of the villain played by Arjun Rampal, SRK gives a spontaneous smart one by saying, "I will call the sequel G.One."

When asked to elaborate King Khan explains, "I liked the idea behind why it is called Ra.One. When you write a computer program, you write Random Access Version 1. So the reason behind it is very cool, even though a film had come by the same name. All my friends said that Raavan came and went, and that I should change my title. They said I am making a big mistake." (Laughs)

Well going by the teasers, it certainly gives an impression that Bollywood Badshah Shahrukh Khan should have the last laugh this year and will certainly keep the throne and the crown of his supremacy in B-town intact.

Being SRK: The ultimate reality TV show

It's a job most Indians would die for — shadowing Shah Rukh Khan wherever he goes. For the last two months, that's exactly what a TV crew has been doing, following the country's biggest star from South Africa to America to London to Mumbai — all for the making of a unique six-part series on the actor, to be telecast on lifestyle channel Discovery Travel & Living. "It's an inner world-outer world kind of documentary," said Khan, speaking exclusively to HT. "Hopefully, the parts that people will get to see of me — at work and at other places — will shed some light on how films and film stars work and offer an insight into how I do things." Khan said he has got to know the crew quite well ("They have been very unobtrusive"). For Discovery Travel & Living, this series will be one of the biggest global productions to come out of India and will be shown all over the world. "We haven't yet decided when we're going to telec...
