Gauri lets SRK put his feet up

He may be the Bollywood Badshah, but wife Gauri Khan is the boss at Mannat. And Shah Rukh Khan admits that credit for their extremely well-done-up home ought to go to Gauri.

The couple launched the premium, international-quality upholstery and curtain material brand D'Decor recently, helping it to set rules that re-define the way furnishings will be bought.
SRK
didn't have to convince the reticent Gauri to agree to this proposition. "When D'Decor approached her, she was excited because it was an area of her interest," he said. "She loved the product and was comfortably close with family D'Decor — Ajay, Sanjay Arora and Simone Arora."

As the world's third largest manufacturer and exporter of upholstery and curtain fabrics, Sanjay and Ajay Arora, Managing Directors, D'Decor, have over 4,000 designs that are sought by international brands like Kravat, JAB, Romo, Casamance, etc.

Their product is in great demand across Europe and US and is known for innovative designs at great value. Now the brand will be introduced at 200 leading stores across India in the third week of September even as it gets launched in international markets. Meanwhile, the SRK-Gauri ad campaign will also go on air offering a sneak-peek into the world of Bollyood's most famous couple.

Said Ajay Arora, "Gauri and SRK are perfect homemakers and make a perfect family. They stand as role models for millions across the country and share the qualities of leadership, excellence and innovation with our company."

"It's an inner world-outer world kind of documentary," said Khan, speaking exclusively to HT. "Hopefully, the parts that people will get to see of me — at work and at other places — will shed some light on how films and film stars work and offer an insight into how I do things." Khan said he has got to know the crew quite well ("They have been very unobtrusive"). For Discovery Travel & Living, this series will be one of the biggest global productions to come out of India and will be shown all over the world. "We haven't yet decided when we're going to telec...
