Amitabh tweets Shah Rukh For Poor Health

Remember the last time you saw Shah Rukh Khan (okay, maybe not in your gym or joggers park)? We had seen the King Khan at a promotional event with his wife, Gauri. Looking at his skinny body, it seemed though he had taken some size-zero tips from his Ra.One co-star Kareena Kapoor! But looks like all the hard work and shooting schedules for his superhero film have taken on a toll on the once-six-pack Khan.

The actor, who fought neck and spinal problems a few years ago, seems to be having a cold that just won't go away. Shah Rukh tweeted on September 7, "Sick again. Keep getting a cold every two months. Hate it. All seems so bland & smellless (sic). Is that even a word…smell less?" His ill-health worried Amitabh Bachchan, who immediately wished Khan a speedy recovery and even berated him for not taking better care of himself. "Shah Rukh…Get well soon wishes! A cold every two months? That's low body resistance! Get out of that super hero body suit of yours and start eating something! You are looking drawn and weak! Love…Amitabh Bachchan."

Even Shah Rukh Khan acknowledged his weighty issues, "Yeah, (I) need to put some weight on…Even the kids are thinking I am a 90 pound pushover weakling. Can't be an undernourished superhero can I?" C'mon SRK, we have got enough skinny girls in Bollywood, you don't need to join their ranks! Wishing him a speedy recovery

For the last two months, that's exactly what a TV crew has been doing, following the country's biggest star from South Africa to America to London to Mumbai — all for the making of a unique six-part series on the actor, to be telecast on lifestyle channel Discovery Travel & Living. "It's an inner world-outer world kind of documentary," said Khan, speaking exclusively to HT. "Hopefully, the parts that people will get to see of me — at work and at other places — will shed some light on how films and film stars work and offer an insight into how I do things." Khan said he has got to know the crew quite well ("They have been very unobtrusive"). For Discovery Travel & Living, this series will be one of the biggest global productions to come out of India and will be shown all over the world. "We haven't yet decided when we're going to telec...
