SRK insulted for lack of data & untrained officers: Media Chairman

New Delhi, India: August 17, 2009 – IR Summary/Agencies – Comments by Dr. Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist, Chairman, Media International Limited - The way the American airport staff mistreated Bollywood Icon Shah Rukh Khan detaining at the airport for more than an hour makes one thing clear that the American Govt. is somewhere failing in their duty in maintaining proper data of the VVIPs in the world by themselves as well as through the airways by which they travel. They have not been able to ascertain whether the person whom their staff roughly handled was one of the most popular Bollywood Stars, loved almost in whole of the world.

The American authorities either lack proper data or have posted such immature and untrained officers at such key points where they have no respect even for their own country, to cause insult to a person like SRK means his country would have to face the music.

There is a difference between detaining and questioning a person, and if SRK's baggage had not reached there for one reason or the other as per the plea given by the US authorities, how SRK was at fault? The officer concerned who was told by his colleagues that SRK was a VVIP and one of the most popular Bollywood stars, not only disregarded them but on the contrary he failed in his duty to use proper courtesy to the visitor, who was a guest, there should have been decency in the language, attitude and politeness in his approach unless proved otherwise.
Such irresponsible officer (s) should be punished who let down the prestige of their own country in the eyes of the world:it is just due to his unwise act that the people in India burned the effigy of President Obama, which is absolutely wrong and unjustified.

Really it is unfortunate, the govt. should take up some step with the US Govt. in mutual interest of both the countries that their guests should be welcomed in the right manners rather than insulting them on the name of security. The mishandling by the US Officer was offensive and unacceptable and needs strong measures to avoid in future and it should be accepted by the US authorities as a courtesy so that they may wash off a blot of racism, religion and blame of misbehavior to Asians on the name of some excuse or the other.

Being SRK: The ultimate reality TV show

It's a job most Indians would die for — shadowing Shah Rukh Khan wherever he goes. For the last two months, that's exactly what a TV crew has been doing, following the country's biggest star from South Africa to America to London to Mumbai — all for the making of a unique six-part series on the actor, to be telecast on lifestyle channel Discovery Travel & Living. "It's an inner world-outer world kind of documentary," said Khan, speaking exclusively to HT. "Hopefully, the parts that people will get to see of me — at work and at other places — will shed some light on how films and film stars work and offer an insight into how I do things." Khan said he has got to know the crew quite well ("They have been very unobtrusive"). For Discovery Travel & Living, this series will be one of the biggest global productions to come out of India and will be shown all over the world. "We haven't yet decided when we're going to telec...
