Don 2 set in London, Dublin and Berlin!

Farhan Akhtar's sequel to the blockbuster 'Don' promises to be four times as big and a dozen times as slick as the original film.

The maverick director, along with his buddy and producing partner Ritesh Sidhwani recently returned from an exhausting trip to Europe; the duo were scouting locations to shoot Don 2, which also stars Shahrukh Khan and expands upon the storyline set in the first installment. It turns out that Farhan and Ritesh have decided to take the production design a couple of notches higher. Don 2 will have a humongous budget and will feature some big chase scenes never before seen in Indian cinema.

"We selected a few places in London and then went to Ireland. Dublin is certainly on the cards. The locations are breath taking. After that we flew to Germany. We went to Frankfurt and Berlin. Our scouting certainly proved fruitful and we have decided on the places that we will be shooting", says Ritesh Sidhwani.

Apart from Shahrukh Khan, Don 2 will also mark the return of Priyanka Chopra, who has tasted success and has stormed to the A-list since the original Don released. While Priyanka had a supporting role in part one, she will have a much meatier role in Don 2. Farhan and Ritesh are also finalising on two more of the biggest Bollywood actresses for Don 2. Their list includes Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone and Bipasha Basu. Kareena Kapoor is rumoured to make a cameo in a flashback sequence while Isha Koppikar's comeback is uncertain.

'Don 2: The Chase Continues' begins filming in January 2010 and will tentatively hit theaters sometime in 2011. Farhan and Ritesh intend to take the Don franchise the way of the Bourne Trilogy. Like 'The Bourne Supremacy', Don 2 will tighten up the plot, action, pace and locales. What's more, if Don 2 does well financially, Farhan and Ritesh have promised to dole out Don 3!

Being SRK: The ultimate reality TV show

It's a job most Indians would die for — shadowing Shah Rukh Khan wherever he goes. For the last two months, that's exactly what a TV crew has been doing, following the country's biggest star from South Africa to America to London to Mumbai — all for the making of a unique six-part series on the actor, to be telecast on lifestyle channel Discovery Travel & Living. "It's an inner world-outer world kind of documentary," said Khan, speaking exclusively to HT. "Hopefully, the parts that people will get to see of me — at work and at other places — will shed some light on how films and film stars work and offer an insight into how I do things." Khan said he has got to know the crew quite well ("They have been very unobtrusive"). For Discovery Travel & Living, this series will be one of the biggest global productions to come out of India and will be shown all over the world. "We haven't yet decided when we're going to telec
