Rajiv Menon wants to direct Shah Rukh Khan

So far, ace cinematographer-turned-filmmaker Rajiv Menon has left no stones unturned in his career. After tasting success in ad filmmaking, he stepped into cranking camera for various films. Later, Rajiv Menon made his directorial with "Minsara Kanavu' and "Kandukondaen Kandukondaen'. These films won him awards on the criteria of the best entertaining films.
He had cranked camera for Mani Rathnam's Hindi movie "Guru' starring Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai in lead roles. As a matter of fact, Rajiv had almost finalized the deal with Abhi-Ash to remake yesteryear Bollywood classic; "Abhimaan' (which featured Amitabh and Jaya Bacchan in lead roles). However, the project didn't take off due to various constraints.
Now, it has been revealed that Rajiv Menon has approached Bollywood's Superstar Shah Rukh Khan for a "romantic-comedy'.
Nevertheless, there hasn't been any affirmative response from the actor, as he's quite busy with "My Name is Khan'. Soon after this film's shooting, he will gear up for "Happy New Year' directed by Farhan Khan, who earlier directed him in "Main Hoon Na' and "Om Shanthi Om'. We've got to wait and watch whether King Khan answers to Rajiv Menon's call…

"Hopefully, the parts that people will get to see of me — at work and at other places — will shed some light on how films and film stars work and offer an insight into how I do things." Khan said he has got to know the crew quite well ("They have been very unobtrusive"). For Discovery Travel & Living, this series will be one of the biggest global productions to come out of India and will be shown all over the world. "We haven't yet decided when we're going to telec...
