Coming soon: 750 weeks celebrations of DDLJ; Dilwale Trophy Le Jayenge!

Mumbai, May 05: Shah Rukh Khan's Kolkata Knight Riders might not have been able to win him a trophy but 'King Khan' is surely going to have his way this time round for the actor will be soon presented with a coveted trophy in Mumbai in a few weeks time on the occasion of the completion of 750 weeks of illustrious film 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' (DDLJ).

According to reports, DDLJ, the longest running blockbuster in the history of Indian cinema will be completing 750 weeks of its extensive running at Mumbai's Maratha Mandir theatre and the theatre owner wants to organise a lavish event to honour Shah Rukh Khan, Yash Chopra as well as all the stalwarts associated with the flick.

The theatre has been screening the movie every morning, seven days a week since one can remember and apparently all the weekend shows are still going houseful! SRK is reportedly on cloud nine and is gearing up for the event as technically it was this flick that won him a place in the hearts of many women.

The actor confirmed the news by saying "I will definitely be there to receive this honour."

"Hopefully, the parts that people will get to see of me — at work and at other places — will shed some light on how films and film stars work and offer an insight into how I do things." Khan said he has got to know the crew quite well ("They have been very unobtrusive"). For Discovery Travel & Living, this series will be one of the biggest global productions to come out of India and will be shown all over the world. "We haven't yet decided when we're going to telec...
