SRK's kids strike gold

It was Daddy's day out for Shah Rukh Khan on Monday morning, but at the National Taekwondo Championship, for once it wasn't King Khan, but his kids who were the focus.

Shah Rukh and wife Gauri were seen cheering all the way, as son Aryan and daughter Suhana participated in the championship held in Mumbai.

"Suhana is pretty aggressive and I like it when she is so worked up about this. Aryan on the other hand likes to work more intelligently," said Shah Rukh Khan.

Of course, if there's one thing King Khan enjoys more than playing a superhero on screen, it's playing proud papa. And yes, his children do seem to have inherited their father's winning streak as both Aryan and Suhana were declared winners in the championship.

This is a small competition and I think it is essential that we encourage more and more children to participate," added Shah Rukh.

Well, since Shah Rukh's next film Ra.One is an action thriller aimed at a more youthful audience, we wonder if in fact for once he was taking tips from his two taekwondo champs!

Being SRK: The ultimate reality TV show

It's a job most Indians would die for — shadowing Shah Rukh Khan wherever he goes. For the last two months, that's exactly what a TV crew has been doing, following the country's biggest star from South Africa to America to London to Mumbai — all for the making of a unique six-part series on the actor, to be telecast on lifestyle channel Discovery Travel & Living. "It's an inner world-outer world kind of documentary," said Khan, speaking exclusively to HT. "Hopefully, the parts that people will get to see of me — at work and at other places — will shed some light on how films and film stars work and offer an insight into how I do things." Khan said he has got to know the crew quite well ("They have been very unobtrusive"). For Discovery Travel & Living, this series will be one of the biggest global productions to come out of India and will be shown all over the world. "We haven't yet decided when we're going to telec...
