Shah Rukh Khan turns action-thriller

Berlin (dpa) - Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, Berlin has discovered for itself. The 44-year-old shoots his new film 'Don 2' in the German capital. He expects soon to pour millions of Indians to Berlin. "You will have problems getting rid of the Indians again," the actor said, laughing at the thought of his action thriller. Shooting will take until the end of November. Scenes of the film include the Brandenburg Gate, the Olympic Stadium and the Gendarmenmarkt.

Shah Rukh Khan charms Berlin

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan , who is shooting the much-hyped sequel of his 2006 hit 'Don' here, says he is so in love with the city that if told he would not mind dancing on top of a tourist bus.

Khan, who plays a dreaded don in the Farhan Akhtar directed movie, said the idea to shoot 'Don' in Berlin came while he was visiting the city during the 2008 film festival.

"I am just happy to be in Berlin. I love it. If you told me to stand up on a tourist bus and dance, I would do it," Khan told reporters at a press conference even as several hundred of his fans camped outside the Friedrichstadt Palace there to get a glimpse of the star.

Berlin is going Bollywood: Indian superstar Shah Rukh Khan is in Germany's capital filming "Don-2," a sequel to the 2006 Bollywood action movie "Don," about a sexy but deadly gangster.

Director Farhan Akhtar said Friday that Berlin holds a "certain degree of mystery" for Indian filmgoers, who are used to London or Paris for European movie scenes.
