Shah Rukh sings for his next film

For some strange reason, this movie which has been made under the umbrella of Red Chillies Entertainment has not been in the news at all. Maybe it is because the film titled Shah Rukh Bola Khoobsurat Hai Tu stars Kay Kay Menon, Preetika Chawla, Afzal Khan and Nagesh Bhosle in pivotal roles. But it has Shah Rukh Khan playing a cameo in the film. What's even more interesting is that he has sung a song in the film too. This would be the second time he is singing. The first time was the Apun Bola number from Josh.

The buzz is that this film will release at the same time as Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Guzaarish on November 19. This is the second time Bhansali's film has clashed with an SRK film at the box office. The last time the two stalwarts clashed at the box office was when Shah Rukh Khan's big venture Om Shanti Om and Bhansali's Saawariya were set to release on the same day. Both Shah Rukh Khan and Bhansali had refused to postpone the release dates of their movie. The results were visible at the box office.

Shah Rukh Bola Khoobsurat Hai Tu is being directed by Makrand Deshpande. The film has a relatively different storyline from the usual potboilers, It is about a girl who sells flowers on the road to make money for her family. She is a Shah Rukh Khan fan and believes that at some point in time she will meet him and acti with him. One day, she hears a voice asking for some flowers, she goes over and finds her idol Shah Rukh sitting in the front seat. She faints with excitement till Shah Tukh grabs her and says Khubsurat Hai Tu. Excited, she tells everyone about the incident but nobody believes her. She decides to prove it to them some day.

Being SRK: The ultimate reality TV show

For the last two months, that's exactly what a TV crew has been doing, following the country's biggest star from South Africa to America to London to Mumbai — all for the making of a unique six-part series on the actor, to be telecast on lifestyle channel Discovery Travel & Living. "It's an inner world-outer world kind of documentary," said Khan, speaking exclusively to HT. "Hopefully, the parts that people will get to see of me — at work and at other places — will shed some light on how films and film stars work and offer an insight into how I do things." Khan said he has got to know the crew quite well ("They have been very unobtrusive"). For Discovery Travel & Living, this series will be one of the biggest global productions to come out of India and will be shown all over the world. "We haven't yet decided when we're going to telec...
