RA.ONE V/S DON 2 This Year End

How would you react if you were told you would have two SRK movies releasing in a span of 2 months. Thrilled? That's exactly what will happen come November – December. Not sure about the last year, but this year would definitely end on a high note for all you movie buffs. The release of RA.ONE previously slated to release in June has now been postponed to the Diwali period, that's around November. And with DON2 releasing in December it's a double treat for for all SRK fans this year end.But does that mean a wait too long for a Shahrukh Khan movie? We would be drained of any movies from the King Khan all through the year. That might sound a little depressing.10 months of no Shahrukh movie.

RA.ONE is a complete sci-fi movie filled with special effects and animation. The movie is being directed by Anubhav Sinha and being produced under Shahrukh's Red Chillies Banner. Co-starring Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal, the movie is slated to be one of the biggest anticipated movies of the year. Recently the movie was being compared to Ajay Devgn's TOONPUR KA SUPERHERO, which had a similar script. Shahrukh supposedly added a lot more special effects and visual treats in the movie than was previously anticipated, hoping to make it of a much higher standard than Devgn's film.

DON2 would be the sequel to the 2006 movie DON. This film too is being anticipated to be a big hit with all the hush hush around it. The movie is being directed by Farhan Akhtar. Co starring would be Priyanka Chopra, Om Puri, Lara Dutta and Hrithik Roshan doing a cameo for good friend Shahrukh.

Both the movies are high on expectations. And with such less duration gaps between their release dates, it would be interesting to see if both the movies would finally have to compete with each other. Remember, RA.ONE is a Red Chillies Production.

"It's an inner world-outer world kind of documentary," said Khan, speaking exclusively to HT. "Hopefully, the parts that people will get to see of me — at work and at other places — will shed some light on how films and film stars work and offer an insight into how I do things." Khan said he has got to know the crew quite well ("They have been very unobtrusive"). For Discovery Travel & Living, this series will be one of the biggest global productions to come out of India and will be shown all over the world. "We haven't yet decided when we're going to telec
