Channel [V], Shah Rukh Khan launch new youth fiction show

Channel [V] is happy with its first fiction offering - Roomies, and is rolling out the new "bold and entertaining" fiction show - Ye Parindey - Impossible ki maa ki aankh, thus further increasing its non-music youth focused content.

Channel [V] EVP and GM Prem Kamath added, "In keeping with our commitment to innovate and reinvent programming for the youth, we are extremely pleased to launch Ye Parindey, a bold, clutter-breaking show that takes fiction programming to the next level of entertainment. Ye Parindey is a show that highlights the zest of today's youth, their journey to discover the dreams along with a strong influence of music and love."

The show will air every Friday-Saturday at 7.30 pm, starting 21 January.
Shah Rukh Khan said, "Yeh Parindey is the first youth fiction ventured by Red Chillies Idiot Box in the TV space. It's about a bunch of kids discovering new meanings of life through music and laughter, all this while at a remand home for juveniles."

"I think it stands out from the regular programming on youth channels and along with slick production, it will give viewers a never before fictional experience," Khan added.

Ye Parindey is a story about a group of kids in a correctional facility for the homeless. Although they are there out of no choice, it is the one place where they discover their true potential.
