The juice on SRK's Ra.1

It looks like Shahrukh Khan has swallowed his pride and has decided to return to US soil post his 'embarrassing ordeal' at the Newark airport a few months ago.

The 'My Name is Khan' star had earlier stated that he would never return to the country after being given some harsh treatment and having forced to undergo secondary checks by the airport officials. However SRK announced on Sunday that he will return to the US to shoot for his new big budget film 'Ra.1'.

As per the reports, Shahrukh, who is also the producer of 'Ra.1' has finalised on Miami and the film will be shot there for most of Q1 2010. Shahrukh is slated to fly down to Miami in early Januray 2010 and oversee the building of mammoth sized sets for the film there. In case you didn't already know, 'Ra.1' will be a CGI heavy film, with majority of the footage shot against green screens. The project was earlier supposed to go into production in Mumbai itself but Shahrukh wanted a high quality Hollywood set in order to create a technically advanced film.

To ease out the logistics, SRK's buddy Karan Johar helped out with the Miami change as he arranged for all the necessary meetings for the actor and his production team with officials from Miami. As we reported earlier, Kareena Kapoor has been signed on to play the lead in Ra.1, it would be the second time SRK and Bebo play the leads in a film, after Santosh Sivan's 'Asoka'. The duo were last seen together in the song 'Marjaani' from the box office flop 'Billu'.

Ra1 is slated to be a hi-tech-sci-fi-action-adventure-superhero flick and will be directed by Anubhav Sinha (Tum Bin, Cash and Aap ko Pehle Bhi Kahin Dekha Hai ). The film is to be produced by SRK's Red Chillies Entertainment and Shahrukh has taken on scripting duties for the film as well.

Being SRK: The ultimate reality TV show

It's a job most Indians would die for — shadowing Shah Rukh Khan wherever he goes. For the last two months, that's exactly what a TV crew has been doing, following the country's biggest star from South Africa to America to London to Mumbai — all for the making of a unique six-part series on the actor, to be telecast on lifestyle channel Discovery Travel & Living. "It's an inner world-outer world kind of documentary," said Khan, speaking exclusively to HT. "Hopefully, the parts that people will get to see of me — at work and at other places — will shed some light on how films and film stars work and offer an insight into how I do things." Khan said he has got to know the crew quite well ("They have been very unobtrusive"). For Discovery Travel & Living, this series will be one of the biggest global productions to come out of India and will be shown all over the world. "We haven't yet decided when we're going to telec...
