Bollywood quotient to spice up the final

Will Preity be the queen who won over the Knights?

Dubai: High drama has always been part and parcel of the Indian Premier League (IPL) final. With both finalists Kolkata Knight Riders and Kings XI Punjab being owned by two top Bollywood names in Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta, there will be no dearth of emotional scenes this time around.

The camera is sure to constantly pan on Kolkata Knight Riders owner Shah Rukh Khan, the King of Bollywood, and Punjab's co-owner Preity Zinta. The action in the middle will be backed by off-field dramas from these two stars who have won the hearts of millions of film lovers. Their smiles and sorrows during the match will add to the excitement of the final.

Khan, who courted trouble at the Wankhede Stadium during the 2012 edition following a skirmish with the security staff and officials, may have to keep his emotions under control. Zinta, on the other hand, had won the hearts of millions of fans through her infectious smile and was seen shedding tears of joy after her teams win over Chennai on Friday.

Bollywood drama has been often about the hero winning over the heroine or vice versa but both battling for a trophy is quite an unique situation.

Khan said he has got to know the crew quite well ("They have been very unobtrusive"). For Discovery Travel & Living, this series will be one of the biggest global productions to come out of India and will be shown all over the world. "We haven't yet decided when we're going to telec...
