SRK dub for Malayalam film

The film, written by one of the best writers in India, MT Vasudevan Nair and directed by veteran Hariharan has Malayalam mega star Mammootty playing the title role and Sarath Kumar playing his deputy. The film is being dubbed into three other Indian languages — Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.

Now, the latest we hear is that Kamal Haasan has dubbed a prologue for the film in Tamil, while the Hindi version has Shah Rukh Khan's voice. It will be Kamal and SRK who will introduce Pazhassiraja to the audience through a 45-second prologue. The voice over for the Malayalam original has been done by Mohanlal.

Says producer Gokulam Gopalan, "The historical needs an introduction and what better voice than Kamal Haasan in Tamil and King Khan in Hindi. The audiences are familiar with their voices and trusts them."

Jayamohan, the famous Tamil writer has been chosen by MT Vasudevan Nair to translate the Malayalam dialogues of the film into Tamil. Monisha, an associate of Priyadarshan has done the Hindi dialogues for the film. Pazhassiraja will release in Malayalam on October 2, and will hit the screens on October 30 in other languages.

Khan said he has got to know the crew quite well ("They have been very unobtrusive"). For Discovery Travel & Living, this series will be one of the biggest global productions to come out of India and will be shown all over the world. "We haven't yet decided when we're going to telec...
