SRK's next with Santosh Sivan and John Abraham?

Age is not a factor for Shahrukh Khan, who continues to sign films and work hard despite sections of the industry having written him off throughout his career. Last year, he bagged awards all over with a commendable performance in Chak De India and later had a blockbuster with Om Shanti Om.

This year, he will be playing a supporting character in Billo Barber which stars Irrfan Khan in a lead role opposite Lara Dutta. The film is directed by Priyadarshan and is being produced by SRK as well. But his main project as an actor is Aditya Chopra's third directional venture titled Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. Not much is known about the project though there have been various rumours. All we can expect is magic once again, since this director-actor combo has proved fruitful in the past.

Also in the works is Karan Johar's My Name is Khan which co-stars Kajol. The film begins shooting in the USA later this year and Karan has admitted that it is drastically different from all his films. Farah Khan also recently revealed that she wants to start shooting Happy New Year in 2009 with Shahrukh.

The latest film to join the list is Sanotsh Sivan's next. Sivan earlier directed King Khan in Asoka, which didn't work too well at the box office. Santosh says, "Though the film didn't do well it was critically acclaimed for my cinematography. I am excited to work with Shahrukh again. We will start work on after he completes all his other assignments. The film will be full of adventures. I'm planning to take
John Abraham too. We are working on the script." For now, Sivan is looking forward to the release of Tahaan on September 5th and is enjoying the success of his last film titled Before the Rains which did well internationally.

For the last two months, that's exactly what a TV crew has been doing, following the country's biggest star from South Africa to America to London to Mumbai — all for the making of a unique six-part series on the actor, to be telecast on lifestyle channel Discovery Travel & Living. "It's an inner world-outer world kind of documentary," said Khan, speaking exclusively to HT. "Hopefully, the parts that people will get to see of me — at work and at other places — will shed some light on how films and film stars work and offer an insight into how I do things." Khan said he has got to know the crew quite well ("They have been very unobtrusive"). For Discovery Travel & Living, this series will be one of the biggest global productions to come out of India and will be shown all over the world. "We haven't yet decided when we're going to telec...
