Director Farah Khan's Happy New Year (HNY), starring Shah Rukh Khan, has been in the news since its announcement. The latest development is that south star Prithviraj Sukumaran, who has earlier starred in Aiyyaa (2012) and Aurangzeb, has been roped in for the film.
Prithviraj is already managing his dates to start shooting for the film. "HNY will be my next film in Bollywood. Farah approached me for it and we have discussed the script a couple of times. I have to work out my dates for it. We will start shooting in September," says Prithviraj.
Though, the actor will not be seen in the lead role, his character will be different from the ones from his last two releases. "I don't want to be bracketed in the industry. I will sign films that interest me rather than giving more importance to the length of my roles. The characters should make an impact and have significance to the story," he says. "Also, it will be a great experience to work with a star of SRK's stature."
