Chak de moment for SRK's girl, team

It took calm nerves in a tense penalty shoot-out before the loudest shriek of victory from one of the smallest frames on the team confirmed that Dhirubhai Ambani (Bandra) had won the MSSA girls U-12 football title, beating Arya Vidya Mandir at the Azad Maidan on Friday.

Her superstar dad Shah Rukh Khan may have inspired an all-girls hockey team to glory on reel (Chak De) but for Suhana Khan, her spunky teammates did the trick to ensure Ambani ended the season on a high.

Manning the midfield, Suhana was in the thick of things as her team shot into the lead in the first half through an Ananya Thakur strike only to concede toward the end of the game, forcing a shoot-out which the Bandra school won 3-1. The school had an all-win record before the final and heroics from makeshift 'keeper Thakur ensured that the record stayed intact. However, the star of Ambanis campaign was Sakshi Munot who netted eight times this season. The girls have a lot of spunk and it showed in the final, said coach Chanchal Singh.

"Hopefully, the parts that people will get to see of me — at work and at other places — will shed some light on how films and film stars work and offer an insight into how I do things." Khan said he has got to know the crew quite well ("They have been very unobtrusive"). For Discovery Travel & Living, this series will be one of the biggest global productions to come out of India and will be shown all over the world. "We haven't yet decided when we're going to telec...
