In an interview with Hollywood reporter, the Indian Super star Shahrukh Khan said, that he is Happy that Hollywood is producing Indian movies. Shahrukh Khan 47 year old Delhi born actor has a fan following that extends beyond India and non-traditional markets like Germany, ShahRukh Khan is perhaps the most recognized Indian film personality worldwide. The actor has delivered some of the best movies in Indian Cinema with huge commercial success.

Ahead of his latest movie release Chennai Express (opening Aug. 9th), Kahn is busy promoting his film. Shahrukh Khan has co-produced the movie with Disney-UTV, Chennai Express, directed by Rohit Shetty, stars actress Deepika Padukone. "King Khan" as he widely known in Indian film industry sat down for an interview with The Hollywood Reporter to talk about the Indian Film Industry and why he thinks the time is ripe for an Indian film to go global and the future of Indian Cinema.

Chennai Express is the first film Khan is coproducing with UTV after it was acquired by Walt Disney. When asked that What does he think about the way Hollywood studios are increasing their presence in India?Shah Rukh Khan replied that  "While this is our first coproduction (by Khan's banner Red Chillies) since Disney took over UTV, I earlier co-produced (2003 release) Chalte Chalte with UTV. So I have had a long relationship with them and (UTV co-founder) Ronnie Screwvala. I think it's fantastic that the Hollywood studios are here. At first, the studios wanted to popularize Hollywood films here but our cinema is deeply rooted in Indian culture. So now its good to see them producing Indian films. We also learn a lot from the experience of working with an international studio. We did My Name is Khan(coproduced by Red Chillies) with Fox Star Studios which was a fantastic experience as we got to release the film worldwide (including non-traditional markets) which we may not have been able to do on our own. Its a sign of changing times and will benefit Indian films to go international faster". Obviously King Khan is excited about this venture and looking forward to do get the huge box office success. The actor said that he like to think of himself as a pioneer in terms of production which he did by creating his banner and VFX company Red Chillies. Chennai Express is releasing on Aug 09 all over India and overseas.
