Karan Johar to remake Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

Are you among the millions of fans who loved the Shah Rukh-Kajol-Rani trio in Karan Johar's debut film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai? If yes, then we have good news for you.

Reports say that Karan Johar is in the mood to bring together his magnum opus Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and the hit Hollywood series High School Musical to recreate a brilliant new film that will be a fusion of hot stars, cool music and a lot of dance.

Isn't that the standard masala for a Bollywood hit?

What is more interesting is that Karan Johar seems to have realised that despite his evergreen appeal, Shah Rukh Khan will look somewhat odd as a high-school student, and as a result, KJo has approached Ranbir Kapoor, one of the front-runners for the next Bollywood icon.

And what of the other big player in the youth icon brigade, Imran Khan? Karan Johar isn't the master of entertainment for nothing. He has decided to bring in Imran in a role similar to the one played by Salman Khan in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. And it seems, both actors have agreed to do the film.

As far as the women are concerned, real life drama has come in the way of creating reel life magic, as Sonam and Deepika were the chosen ones for the two leading ladies, but as of now neither has agreed.

Since there has been ample tension in the Deepika-Ranbir relationship, and Sonam may just be one of the reasons why Deepika is upset with her beau, this real life politics may affect the film adversely.

Either way, get ready for some classic KJo-style entertainment.

Khan said he has got to know the crew quite well ("They have been very unobtrusive"). For Discovery Travel & Living, this series will be one of the biggest global productions to come out of India and will be shown all over the world. "We haven't yet decided when we're going to telec...
