Exclusive pictures:Shahrukh khan entertains people of Kolkata

SHAH RUKH TOOK THE STAGE AT AROUND 4.30PM — AN ACCEPTABLE ONE HOUR LATE — AMIDST BIRENDRA KRISHNA BHADRA'S CHANTING OF THE MAHISHASURA MARDINI! WEARING THE KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS NUMBER 12 JERSEY — THE 'KHAN' WAS MISSING — SRK STRAIGHTAWAY DID AN IMPROMPTU JIG TO THE TEAM ANTHEM KORBO, LORBO, JEETBO RE... HE ALSO TOOK THE MICROPHONE BUT REALISING THAT HE WAS WAY OFF TUNE, HE JUST STUCK TO THE MOVES. THE OTHER SINGERS OF THE AFTERNOON — REALITY SHOW FINDS PRAJAKTA SHUKRE, EMON CHATTERJEE AND TOSHI — THEN STARTED SINGING SHAH RUKH HITS LIKE DARD-E-DISCO AND AAJ KI RAAT. BUT EVEN THEY HAD TO STOP MIDWAY. WHY? TO GET THEMSELVES CLICKED WITH SHAH RUKH! NOKIA, THE ORGANISERS OF THE SCIENCE CITY EVENT, HAD PUT UP A HUGE POSTER WITH SHAH RUKH PLAYING THE DHAAK. NO WONDER KING KHAN HAD TO OBLIGE ONCE ON STAGE. "OK, I WILL TAKE THE DHAAK BUT I DON'T KNOW HOW TO PLAY IT," LAUGHED SRK BEFORE TRYING A COUPLE OF INAUDIBLE TAPS ON THE DHAAK. HIS "BENGALI FRIEND FROM MUMBAI" PRITAM TOOK OVER AND DID A MUCH BETTER JOB HIS DHUNUCHI NAACH AND DHAAK PLAYING WASN'T EXACTLY TOP-NOTCH, BUT SHAH RUKH MORE THAN MADE UP FOR IT WITH HIS DIALOGUE DELIVERY. SAYING HIS FAMOUS LINES FROM DON, DEVDAS AND BAAZIGAR, SHAH RUKH HAD EVERYONE GOING BERSERK. THEN THE KING DID HIS DARD-E DISCO MOVE. "SHOW US THE SIX-PACK," SHOUTED SOMEONE. "NOT HERE...," SRK REPLIED. "LET ME BRING MY FULL SHOW HERE IN CALCUTTA AND THEN WHEN YOU BUY TICKETS AND COME IN, I WILL SHOW YOU THE FULL SIX PACKS!" AFTER WISHING EVERYONE A GREAT DURGA PUJA, SHAH RUKH RUSHED TO THE AIRPORT TO CATCH THE MUMBAI FLIGHT. PUJA FOR THIS BONA FIDE CALCUTTAN IS FOR THE FAMILY — AFTER ALL, WIFE GAURI'S BIRTHDAY IS ON NAVAMI...

HE DIDN'T EXACTLY DO A SANJAY DUTT, BUT SHAH RUKH DID TRY HIS HAND (AND MOUTH) AT THE DHUNUCHI NAACH. "I WOULD HAVE LOVED TO COME IN A PROPER BENGALI DRESS (DHOTI-KURTA) JUST LIKE IN THE KNIGHT RIDERS VIDEO," HE RUED

'Every Damn Time,' Tweets Shah Rukh Khan, Detained At US Airport

Movie star Shah Rukh Khan, detained at an airport in the US for questioning again, tweeted on Thursday: "Every damn time!" The 50-year-old actor was detained at the Los Angeles airport this time. A man with the same name is on a US no-fly list of 80,000 people. He took to Twitter to voice his exasperation. I fully understand & respect security with the way the world is, but to be detained at US immigration every damn time really really sucks. @iamsrk  The brighter side is while waiting caught some really nice Pokemons. @iamsrk  Mr Khan, one of the most successful stars in the Hindi film industry, has been held back at US airports thrice in seven years. American officials tell NDTV that during immigration checks, what pops up is a name without any other detail to help draw a distinction. In April 2012, Mr Khan was held back for over two hours at the airport in New York on a visit to address students at Yale University. He had joked later at Yale: "Whenever I start fee...
