Shahrukh Khan's roomie turns Filmistaan lead

The name Sharib Hashmi may not ring a bell. However, if one jogs the memory hard, he would be remembered as the man who played a small but an important part of Shahrukh Khan's Pakistani roommate in Yash Chopra's  Jab Tak Hai Jaan . Things are expected to change drastically for Sharib who would now be seen in National Award winning  Filmistaan , where he plays the main lead and a central protagonist.  "The film is set as a laugh riot about a film buff who wants to become an actor in Bollywood, only to find himself being held hostage by Pakistani terrorists. It is a hilarious affair because in any given circumstance, this man unleashes the Bollywood side of him," informs a source.  The makers wanted an actor who had an appearance of a common man and was a hardcore film buff himself.
