Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan is seen on the sets of his new movie "Rabh Ne Bana Di Jori" at Golden Temple or holy Sikh shrine complex in the northern Indian city of Amritsar September 2, 2008.

Khan had arrived in the city on late Monday night for the shooting of his forthcoming movie, Rab Ne Banna Di Jodi, along with director Aditya Chopra and producer Yash Raj Chopra. Many dance troupes lined up in front of the hotel to give auditions.

Shahrukh Khan didn't miss the famous Amritsari kultchas even as he had arrived here with his own culinary experts, who serve him his choicest food. "Sharukh had to go out for shooting at 3 pm, but he got up only after 4 pm, after having kultchas for breakfast," said one of the staff of the hotel, where he is putting up.

On Tuesday morning, Khan clad in a white shirt and black trousers went to offer his prayers at the Golden Temple, where he interacted with his fans, and exchanged pleasantries with media persons but avoided talking about his new movie. "I am here to pray for my family, country and its peace," was all he said.

As the news of his arrival spread, Sharukh's fans arrived in hordes in front of the hotel to have a glimpse of their favourite celluloid hero in real life. There was an excitement as youngsters were seen waiting for the star to have his autograph. Only a few were lucky as the star was escorted inside the hotel from the rear entry. Police have cordoned off the area.

SRK is the third Khan from Bollywood to have visited the holy shrine in the last few years. Aamir Khan was the first to visit the Golden Temple he also shot for a few sequences of Rang De Basanti at the Gurudwara's sarovar.

Then, Salman Khan visited the Golden Temple in the first quarter of 2006, when he shot a scene for Rajkumar Santoshi 's film London Dreams.
