October 11, 2010, (Sawf News) - Shah Rukh Khan rode an open top city bus in Berlin on Day 1 of the filming of Don 2 on October 10.

The keenly awaited thriller directed by Farhan Akhtar additionally stars Priyanka Chopra, Lara Dutta, Kunal Kapoor, Om Puri and Boman Irani.

The film also stars German actor Florian Lukas in an important Berlin based role. The 37-year-old star is best known for the ARD television series Weissensee.

Shah Rukh was the first to arrive on location.

"in berlin. good to see it in the day time. always been in & out during berlinale otherwise. missing home & kids." Shah Rukh tweeted on October 10.

A 50 day schedule is planned in the city. The film will be shot in "prominent places in the city," but details of the locales are not being revealed to preclude fan frenzy, such is Shah Rukh's popularity in the German capital.

Don 2 is being partly financed ($705,000) by the Berlin-Brandenburg film promotion company Medienboard.

The film is scheduled for release in theatres on December 23, 2011.

‘Ra.One’ heads to shoot overseas

SRK’s superhero home production ‘Ra.One’ has completed its shooting schedule in India and is heading to overseas for its remaining shoot. According to the close hands in production, now only the photo shoot remains in India. Rest of the shooting will now happen in London.
