Shahrukh makes Karan Johar blush

Shahrukh Khan and Karan Johar's thick friendship has been the envy of the film industry for more than a decade now. At the recent press conference to announce the sale of the distribution rights of their film My Name Is Khan to the prestigious Fox Star Studios, the King Khan openly admitted in his speech that he was really thankful to Karan Johar for making him the huge star he was.

Just at that time, Karan who was seated on the dais, blushed. Now seeing his best buddy go red in the face, Shahrukh joked, "Come on, Karan, you don't have to blush. In private, you keep reminding me and boasting about how you've made me a big star."

Later when it was Karan Johar's time to speak, he revealed why he was happy to take Shahrukh Khan as a partner in his production ventures, like he has done in his latest under-production film, My Name Is Khan. "Since I am childless, and it's only my mother and me in the family, it makes sense that Shahrukh's children should hold the negative rights of my films. I often ask Aryan and Suhana to choose the films they want from my library and they do have their favourites."

Khan said he has got to know the crew quite well ("They have been very unobtrusive"). For Discovery Travel & Living, this series will be one of the biggest global productions to come out of India and will be shown all over the world. "We haven't yet decided when we're going to telec...
